looks pretty nice, kinda need the flash to work though to get a better idea of the external mods. But i have seen enough KS hoods and MS bumpers to get the idea. I haven't seen those wheels though. So a better shot of the side view would be cool. But if your flash is not working it will have to wait till daytime:D

Have you fired it up yet, and i can't remeber but does the Haltech support the oil metering pump? If not what pre-mix are you going to be using? And what primaries are you running?

Good job, looks like it was a frantic winter.

Only visual thing i would add is paint all the pullies to match one color.Other than that looks great.

nah i haven't fired it up yet, working on the exhaust manifold now but we're definitly getting closer! the haltec doesn't support the OMP which was removed by the previous owner..... running havoline 2 cycle, one ounce to every gallon of gas. also the primaries are stock 550's, which should be fine its all in the tuning :)

i actually have a better pic of one of the rims that actually came out better, lemme dig it up....

Nice wheels, I like them. The question about the primaries was just curiosity. I also am running 550's and am single with 1600 secondaries. Just thought i missed something in the mod list;) Everything about these cars once they are built is tuning. That will make or "break" your set-up. Good job i look forward to seeing a dyno clip or street driving clip. if you plan on that. Otherwise Just what it does after a break-in and tune.
Nice oil coolers as well;)
Have fun!!

Nice set up comming along, where did you buy the turbo?

adictd2b00st Mar 23, 2005 11:07 PM

i got it direct thru precision, awesome guys there

adictd2b00st Mar 24, 2005 10:35 AM

whoops forgot the racing beat 9lb flywheel and greddy ast too

Might want to reconsider the braided line going to the coolant overflow tank. It will rub against the upper radiator hose and can/will cause you some grief. Either wrap the line or replace it with a silicone line.

You have to be VERY careful with braided stainless, it's like sandpaper and will rub through all sorts of stuff. Been there, done that.

Besides that, lookin' good! Hope you get it on the road soon - not much winter left! :)

Dale

This is true with the braided lines, However i thought he was going V-mount which "should" move the rad hose to a lower position. I think that was just a "mock up" pic so he could get all giddy like a school girl about the size of the turbo,,:D I did the same thing in year 2 of my wait;)

adictd2b00st Mar 24, 2005 03:58 PM

haha yep ur right that was just a "mock up" pic when i first got the turbo ;) the ic is mounted now doing the piping, i'll snap another pic tho when i get a chance......and i'll be sure to check that the braided line won't be near anything it can rub thru :)

I gotta' know more about those rims!
Are they 2 or 3 piece? What they set you back $ wise?

Get the flash working too, looks like a nice ride from what I can see

Regards,
Frank

for more info on the rims i got them from a seller on this board, here's the original post........they don't seem to weigh too much either, i was very pleased

https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=389060 i ended up getting them for 1450 shipped.......good seller too incase u ever are thinking of buying from him

i should be heading up to the garage agian hopefully next week, i'll take some pics if i do

and i know this is kind of a general question.......but what kind of power numbers do u think i can expect out of this setup on a conservative 10.5 a/f tune.....20psi is prolly the max i will go.....but on pump gas i'll prolly have a tune for 15psi. also thinking of getting some water injection, but not tune with it just run it as an extra safeguard.
