wingless twinturbo 3rb gen

how many wingless 3rd gens were made as opposed to ones with wings? is this a rareity??

the wing was an option that came on the R1 but the dealer slapped it on any car that the customer wanted. and the wing just comes right off with 4 bolts so if it was a rarity then it wouldnt be hard to fake one.

I have a wingless FD! Quik is right. They are kind of uncommon, but its not like that makes them more expensive or anything. Most FD's either came with one from the dealership, or the owner had one installed later. Its just that a lot of people like the look of an FD with a wing. Therefore, they either had it installed at the dealer (if it wasn't already equiped on the car, ie R1), or they purchased an different aftermarket wing.

I, however, personally like the look of a wingless one.

If I remember correctly, the wing was a about a $750.00 option when I bought my touring new in April of 93. I am sure the dealers loved the extra $500 or so they could pocket by drilling 4 holes and "including" it in the cost of the car.

I too, prefer the look of the car without it, and if it wasn't for the holes, mine would be gone.

I just don't get "wings".

Wingless here too. I like the lines of the car better this way, personally.
Not that the winged ones suck or anything like that!
But there is....power in understatement, too.
