Window Switch --- How to Test?

I have my passenger window motor/regulator working now on directed 12v. It goes up and down fine.

Moving backward, the switch is my next concern. How do you test the switch to see if it is sending power or just as importantly getting power to the switch itself?

My door locks work, outside mirrors work, so I know power is getting to those.

I'm not much on the electrical front, though I do have the meters if someone can direct me on where and what to check.

Thanks

i had a similiar problem with my car...check to ensure that the ground is properly grounded

Grounds are important but if his mirriors are working the ground is OK. They are off the same ground. The next place to check is the switch itself. You should have power on evry wire except the ones going to the motor. White/blue ,black/yellow, black/white, red,and green. Red and green are the motor wires.

If no power is present then go to the drivers switch since that is what controls the power and ground for the whole shooting match.

it has the window lock(on/off) switch on it. It controls power supply to that passenger switch. Check for operation of the switches as well. Sounds like you need to download a service manual and look at the diagram. page Z-98
