Window stuck down!!!!!!Help!!!
Can anyone help, or maybe have had the problem of the passenger window being stuck down?, new window motor?, how to access it? any help is appreciated.

Ray Crowe at Malloy Mazda has the best prices on new OEM parts. 888 533 3400.

its usually a window switch. try to close using both drivers and passenger switches. make sure the "Lock" switch on the driver's side isn't "locked" preventing the window from being moved. you can try opening up the switch and cleaning the brass contact strips to get it up temporarily.
if it doesn't work call Ray Crowe and buy a new one. |
will try it, thanks

if its not the window switch (probably is) then download the shop manual and take off the door interior and then spray all of the joints and things with white lithium grease. Ive unstuck 2 rx-7's windows doing that.

Yeah, first check the switch, then pull off the door panel and start checking stuff out. You could always jump the motor with jumper wires to raise the window if the switches are bad or something.

when i first got mine, the driver's side window rarely rolled down (wouldn't move at all), but rolled up just fine, then stopped rolling down completely. i took the switch apart (not too difficult, just be careful not to lose the springs when you pull apart the white piece.... i did that, woops), and all i had to do was clean the contacts. window was smooth as hell after that. unfortunately, didn't have the springs for the other side anymore, so i bought a new switch from ray (at malloy).

I just fixed the same prolbem on my FD. First, make sure you dont have the wondow lock on. Here was my prolbem and solution:
The drivers side control was no longer rolling up the windows, i took the thing appart, cleaned it up and and put it back together. It still didnt work. I ordered a bran new control, now the motor was getting the power but it wasent moving. I took the motor apart to find out that some how one of the brushes got stuck and was not contacting the drive. I put the whole thing back together and it works great. Well, I hope that this helps you . oh, just a fore warning if you have to pull the motor and track, its a real pain. Just pay close attention to how you got the whole thing out. Below is what it looks like |
