will i need to upgrade my fuel pump if.......

will i need to upgrade my fuel pump from stock if i am running an intake, downpipe, midpipe, full exhaust, bov, block off plates, pullys, apexi power fc with commander?

I know that some of the things listed above should not have any effect on amount of fuel needed by the engine but I am yet to own a rotary and am just planning ahead of time so i can budget my self.

thanks

It depends on how much boost you plan to run, but I would skip the BOV (no performance benefit whatsoever) and get a fuel pump instead. You can get one of the Denso pumps for an easy drop in, or get a Bosch or Walbro for a almost-easy installation. Generally, fuel pumps are very easy to install.

well if i am running stock boost and convert the turbos to non sequential! And i have delt with turbos befor and i know there is no performance gain from bov's i am just one of the kids who likes to strock him self over the sound. But other than bov's its all go before show for me.

Also the engine would be rebuilt with a mild street port and 3mm apex seals. If makes a big difference.

It depends on your duty cycle on the injectors. Some smarter guy may know better than I but if your running 85% thats about as high as you want to go I believe.

downpipe and midpipe woudl be part of full exhaust unless u meant catback by saying full exhaust. you will spike with a midpipe. plus instead of a midpipe you should get a larger intercooler all this can be done on a stock fuel system you will run about 80% injector cycle which is safe but u MUST get an ecu. power fc seems to be kinda of a waste for teh mods that u wanna do so a chip might be fine for you. check out www.m2performance.com and look at their staged upgrades that shoudl give u an idea in which order to do the mods.

Well first off full exhaust i am talking true 3" (or around there) cat back. Unlike some people who just throw a canister on stock piping and think it improves performance.

2nd to get an upgraded intercooler, which is in future plans, i would have to drop alot of the mods i want to do when i first get the car. So would it be safe to run the stocker untill i could save up a little bit morw money?

3rd the power fc is just me planning ahead so i dont go through like 10 chips and in the end get the power fc and just waste all that money.

Also with all the mods a dont want to be pushing to much more than stock boost. I know that it will raise boost preasure

so do you guys think that the stock injectors and the stock fuel pump will beable to handle the nessasary extra fuel to run this mods.

Thanks guys you are being very helpfull

Se7en0nPSI,

Take a look a this thread, and look down for a message posted by Wade:

As far as active people here in the forum, he's probably done the most testing of the FD fuel system than anyone.

Unless you plan on boosting over 15 PSI, I would say that your fuel pump is probably fine. If you want upgraded it, it's a faily cheap and easy mod to do. It won't cause any adverse performance problems if you really don't need it and upgrade it anyway.

If it will ease your mind, get one, but I think you will be just fine with the stock one...
