will Air-pump removal foul plugs?
According to my Air-fuel gauge below 3100 rpm. At cruising the gauge floats around the middle where it's a good burned mixture.
I I remove the electrical connector the gauge shows always full rich. Will I foul plugs often if I remove the air-pump? I have full exhaust right now. i read somewhere that the Air-pump also feeds air to somewhere else other than the main Catalitic to keep emisions lower and a smoother running engine? Is this true? jc. |
jc, from personal experience, ive never fouled my plugs. ive had the pump off for ~10k miles, no problems what so ever. just personal $.o2

oh, forgot to add that i regularly add 2 stroke oil to my gas to worsen any chance of fouled plugs, and my baby still runs like a dream!

i have removed countless numbers of air pumps and have never seen any indication that it fouls plugs air is routed through the intake manifld but does not lead to the combustion chamber

Will it add any extra HP?

Bad AF ratio's mess with plugs not air pumps...

physically removing it obviosly reduces weight but it also reduces load on the motor less weight +less load =more power but i would suggest using an elimination kit
