Wideband Oxygen Sensor Work with Stock ECU?
If I install my FJO racing wideband oxygen sensor in place of my stock oxygen sensor, will it work with my ecu? Anyone have experience with this?

Generally, no, that won't work.
The output of the wideband box is usually 0-5v, sometimes linearized, sometimes not. However, some WB boxes have a separate 0-1v signal that can be fed to a stock ECU (and is there just for that purpose). I am not sure if the FJO has a 0-1v output signal or not. Otherwise, you need to run two sensors (one WB, one NB) if you want to give the ECU a narrow band signal. -Max |
I don't recall a 0-1v out on the FJO, there are a bunch of outs for a display unit and a data logger, but no seperate 0-1v on my FJO unit...
You could splice a wire off and add resistors or, if you're talking about the display unit which is seperate from the actual 0-5v out, just plug the display in normal, and figure out what kind of resistance you need to bring it down to 0-1v and stick the resistors in series, and jack into the stock wire... -DC |
