Are you the first owner? If not then the previous owner have changed it to the Enifi Y pipe, which is a good thing.

Actually, my 93 base came with one too. I later upgraded to the efiini y pipe. CJ

The crossover tubes and elbows are plastic as you know. Early 93's had silver pieces that later changed to black. Same parts, different colors.

The OEM factory installed ones are silver painted black plastic - the stock replacement parts are shipped unpainted - this is true for both the "Y" pipe to IC piece and the IC to TB piece. All the actual "Y" pipes are aluminum (orig 93-95 and 96+ "Efini" style) the later 96+ crossover ("Y"pipe to IC) is also Aluminum and is BOLTED to the "Y" insted of having a Rubber Coupler & Clamps. The 93-95 crossover was very prone to brakage (the mounting ears would seperate from the tube) and MANY have been replaced with unpainted ones.

Originally posted by rynberg Correct, the 94 and 95 crossover tube is black plastic. The inlet elbow was also changed from silver plastic to black. The big inlet elbow that feeds into the UIM was changed from silver to black between the '93 and '94 model years. |
