Who owns two FD's and why?
I've got 2 because one is a project car that sold for a great price. I'm still not even sure what I'm going to do with it yet. Once its done I'll prob sell my black car.
Whats about you guys? |
I am in the market for a second. One is going big single, the other LS1.
if one goes LS1 then you wouldnt still own 2 FDs

Paging herblenny, herblenny to aisle three :D
nice i wish i could have 2 or 3 but cant afford them
Some people have multiple FD's, and the answer to "why?" is because they're sick. Nobody should put themselves through that much pain and agony keeping two or more FD's on the road. That's why if anyone has an extra, I'll be glad to take it off their hands, just as a way of being humane. :D
I own 2 FD's.....and I sold another one about 6 months ago. I haven't figured out if I want to use it for a drag car, daily driver, or a parts car.
Well, I don't have two FD's (yet), but I have an SA, an FB, 2 FC's, and an FD.
Does that count? |
I have my touring model which next year will have a GT35R with a streetport, and I want another one base or R1. It doesn't really matter for track, but that one will have a TO4Z with a race port!
I'm planning to do two LS1 conversions, because the wife said she wanted one... She has changed her mind, but I'll probably still finish both projects and sell one of them.
I have two. Nothing better than excess. I am trading one off this spring for a NSX though so I will bring me back to monoFD.
I'd pick up a second one, possibly, as a DD and put an LS1 in it for the fuel economy and reliability. Why? because FD > * for looks. And contrary to popular opinion, I find the interior to be quite comfy and ergonomic...now you've got the gears turning in my head. AP1 S2000 or LS1 FD for a DD...hmmmm
But my current FD will always be my weekend/track car :) |
I have two. One in the USA and one here in Japan.
i have 5...does that count? :)
I have a MBM and VR converted automatics built identically each to a single turbo 400+ HP rocket.

I had a black and a white one too. Decided to sell the black car because I had no time to work on it.
i sort of have two... for sure two to maintain as the wifey has a pristine FD. only mods are eibach springs SSR wheels solid rear bushings and lots of zaino.
my FD has a few more mods. during the summer the two white FDs share garage space. cute. during our marriage vows in 04 i had to promise not to grab her motor without asking. i will say i live in fear that i will have to do a hose job on her car. yucch. while she has about 200 or more less hp than me she has a heavier foot on the street. of course when you are a babe you can talk/smile your way out of tickets. i don't have that luxury. an interesting topic... howard coleman |

one dedicated race, one dedicated street. i wish i could have one for every day of the week, looking to buy a rx3 now
I was looking for 2nd FD just to tear into...but will hold off 'til after the Lexus IS-F hit the showroom floor.
i was thinking about getting a low mile automatic for daily driving...
I wouldnt mind owning 2 either
one can be used for every day driving or weekend and the other can be a track car. |
FD's are like drugs. They're bad for your health and wallet, but we just keep buying them.
I normally have 2 or 3 at a time. I mostly buy projects to fix, put back on the road, and sale. Works out in several aspects... puts an FD back on the road and spared from being parted out, I make a profit... and it makes someone a happy FD owner :) Not to mention it's nice to always have an FD to drive around.
