White smoke problem that went away

This morning I decide to take the rx7 to work because it hasn’t been driven in about 2 weeks. I start it up, go up stairs to get some things and let it warm up a little. Come back down and it is bellowing white smoke. I mean it looks like wet wood on a fire. So much smoke. So I curse a lot, pull it in the garage and jump in the civic to go to work. When I get back home, I removed the spark plugs to see if there is any water. None. Open the AST cap and start the engine to see bubbles. No bubbles and no smoke. So I have no idea what is going on. Let it warm up, drive it for 10 mins. Nothing. Then gave it some boost. No smoke. Got it home and let it run for a little. Nothing.

Anyone else have this happen before? I am getting a pressure test done to it tomorrow.

Was it cold in the morning? It could just be burning off condensation in the exhaust.

Not cold. About 65 and it just rained. Plus it idealed for about 5 mins. the condensation should have burned off

I've had similar experiences when it is humid outside. Don't worry about it. The moisture created by the combustion process just can't evaporate when it's that humid.

Ok, thanks for the input.

If you let it sit for another three days or so - without starting - then start it again, it will probably smoke for 5 minutes or so, then clear.

Starting it every day will more than likely keep it from smoking.
