White Smoke..... Coming from turbo area...
Well today I was out driving my 7... everything looked fine oil pressure was fine,
boost was 10-8-10.... then I see white smoke coming from under the hood and its smelled like burning oil... I pop the hood and every 30 sec or so... a white puff of smoke would come from the turbo area... I couldn't exactly see where it was coming from. Its a REMAN motor and turbos... only 40k on it.. Any ideas? What should I check? |
blown turbos or broke coolant line on the way to the turbos..

check the oil feed line. You may have a small leak and it's dripping onto the turbos. Also check your coolant line make sure that's not leaking either.

I belive its the coolant line.. It smells a bit sweet to be oil.. So ill check all the line hopfully find the problem. Thanks for the help.

And don't drive it. A small coolant leak can become a catastrophic burst and then you're only seconds from overheating and killing your motor.

If you think it is a coolant line, Inspect it first before driving the car. If your coolant hose goes, not only do you run the risk of overheating your car, but a fire may start from the coolant burning on the turbos.
