Where to find new solenoid valves

Sooooo, I was attempting to do the vacuum hose job when I broke the ends of two of my solenoid valves. I believe its the double throttle all the way on the left and the one next to it. I was wondering if there was anywhere I could buy new ones, or even aftermarket ones that aren't super fragile plastic. I'm pretty bummed out right now so any help at all to point me in the right direction would be awesome! ...FML

Solenoid nipples get crispy and brittle as you discovered. I know of no aftermarket ones. You should either get new ones or look for used ones. Although you are in Germany, Ray at Malloy Mazda should be able to sell/ship them to you. 703-490-8170. You should also check for used ones that are posted for sale. In either case, make sure that you test them to ensure they work before installing them. There are several threads on how to test them before installation.

+1 for Ray Crowe at Malloy, let him know you were referred to him by this forum as well. If you're military he can def ship them to you with no problems (I had a ton of parts shipped out to me while I was living in England) and they arrive quickly!

Awesome! Thanks for the help guys. If I can't find any used ones soon, I'll give Ray a call and hopefully he can help. Hopefully I can have this all fixed before spring :)

You can typically find good used solenoids for cheap, also FC's use the same solenoids as the FD and FC guys literally throw those things out.

Most of the solenoids in the rats nest are interchangeable. Certain systems can be eliminated and those spare solenoids can be used to replace in other locations.

Thanks again guys! I will see what I can eliminate in my system maybe and try not to break anymore solenoids in the process. And thx for the FC info! I wasn't looking at used FC solenoids, but since you said that, It should be alot easier to find now that I am looking at both generations. Again thx alot guys, you have definately lifted my spirits.
