i dont know of any manufacturer that makes a 3 guage pod for the a pillar. most people combine a single and dual guage pod.

where can i found a dual in california?
|
also near orange county

yeah I was thinking about doing that but if I can find a 3 pod mount I would rather do that. If I do end up finding something I will make a post about it for sure.

try a search. a few months ago i saw a thread with some good pics and info, someone just made their own with a 2-pod and 1-pod autometer a-pillars. it turned out great. i can't remember who did it though

Actually that was a custom fabricated 3-pod. When asked where he got it, he said he was thinking about marketing, but I didn't hear squat later...

Tri-Power Performance is currently working on an OEM quality 3-pillar Pod for the 3rd gen. Their progress will be posted online soon.

Can you see the top gauge though?
I figured the reason it wasn't made for the 7 is the top gauge would be too high. Autometer makes a dual guage pod for the 7 but they make a 3 gauge pod for the Nissan 300Z TT.
If you want to try the project, buy the one for the Z and trim it to fit. I don't have the tools or the patience to be that creative. |
anyone have pics of a dual gauge pod and a single gauge pod stacked on the A-pillar?
|
Autometer makes at least a half-dozen tripods for various imports. I was checking out their site today. It makes you wonder about A-pillar dimensions :)
http://www.autometer.com/hp/2001_cat...eworks/21.html I am in the same boat as you. From looking at the pods, you need to cut some off of wherever they meet, because they round down the ends. |
