It might be a good value but to be fair while comparison shopping, the rx7.com version isn't OEM.

IRPerformance 11-28-11 05:23 PM

We only use the Mazda oem ones. I have found for some reason the aftermarket ones don't flow as well.

RockAuto $17.04

My car only has 26k kms on the odometer... likely on it's original fuel filter, and I'll likely never change it again after this time

FD3S2005 11-28-11 07:32 PM

i have the rx7.com one, i wish i relocated it, but i wasnt the one who changed it. and not sure id have the patience to deal with it.

RotaryEvolution 11-28-11 07:37 PM

gas running into your pits sucks.

Just installed a Wix from this place, although I can't remember the price (was less than $20).

BlueTuner 11-28-11 11:00 PM

Locally, hit up your autoparts store. If you have an Orielly near you, this is where i work. you can get a Wix one.

'ringmeister 11-29-11 03:20 PM

I seem to remember that FDs use the same fuel filter as a miata, not true?

bajaman 11-29-11 07:09 PM

Autozone or O'Reilly's, +1 if you aren't wanting an OEM one.

kensin 11-29-11 07:34 PM

Mazda oem is like 15$ locally

mind sharing with us your source?

GoodfellaFD3S 11-29-11 09:17 PM

We've had at least one no-name fuel filter that I can remember be bad right out of the box. Car ran like poop, did tons of trouble-shooting figuring it couldnt be the new fuel filter. Swapped to a new OEM filter and problem solved.

Good to know.

I heard this rumor to , any fact to it ?

Julian 11-29-11 11:40 PM

I am running a 1 micron Canton filter. Prior to reloaction I used Mazda OEM

CYD 11-30-11 05:52 PM

Not sure if its related, but I think I have an Earls inline Fuel Filter. I can't say that I have immediately benefited from this...but maybe someone else can give pros/cons.

If you're messing with the stock fuel filter get some long pliers! And a pair of angle nose long pliers too! You're Welcome!
