What's the fastest MPH you had your FD?

How fast have you had your FD up to, whether at the track or on the street closed circuit?

I know some Douche is going to say, "There's already a thread on this"...So what.

I had my 7 up to almost 160 mph tonight. That is the fastest I have ever been in a car before. My bro was behind me (Cuz I was beating his Mustang ;) ) he saw flames shooting out about 3 feet or so every time I shifted and said my tail pipe was glowing red!

The sucky thing is now it won't start! When I came close to a stop it died, so I popped the clutch and kept going. As I was cruising down the street I kept putting in the clutch and it kept dying. After I parked it and let it cool down I tried to start it and now it won't start. It cranks, but no starty. I'm wondering if I fried my spark plugs?

lol....well, yeah....you ARE likely to get a few uh, negative responses due to your title. And keep in mind that the new owners of the forum get REAL sensitive about speed/racing/anything DANGEROUS posts....

A better question might be, 'what the hell could I have done?'

A little more info would be helpful, things like the timing of the engine failure, did it happen RIGHT after you were on your hell-run? Anything unusual sounding happen? What ECU are you using?
Could be anything from a bad fuel pump to a blown engine, you know?

Talk to us.

there is already a thread for this, but i will not post my speed i will however tell you it was +-10MPH of you :)

I got it up to 45mph one day while coasting down a hill, it was a really big hill though!!

And no idea what you could have done to your car though... simple speed won't make your engine fubar'd.

Have you considered a compression test? When I lost a part of one of my 3-piece seals I had hot starting issues and it would want to die occasionally when I went to neutral or put/left the clutch in.

Start a thread regarding your cars problems. You will not get the information your looking for to fix your car in this thread.

bajaman, who are the new owners of the forum? I must have missed it somewhere.
