What would you do?... Turn lamp corroded into socket.

I've noticed upon returning from school to my master (aka FD) that her left front turn signal is not working. I've decided to change it tonight and after I finally got the f*&#ing screw out (it was turning in place), I found the bulb is corroded into it's socket and the filament appears to be intact. So... how would you resolve this?

I have at my disposal a bitch load of tools, two new 1156 bulbs and some PB blaster and other solvents and lubricants.

I just got the bastard out with some PB Blaster and persistance. The socket has some corrosion in it, but I'm going to see if I can salvage it. Any ideas on how to stop it from corroding any further? My other turn signal lamp socket is very clean, almost like new.

I got it working again with the old bulb. I scrubbed the socket and the bulb a little bit with a paper towel and PB Blaster. Then I put the bulb in and wiggled the bulb around and I got a connection. Took out the bulb and recleaned the socket and bulb and when I put it back in it lit right up. I doubt this fix will last long, but only time will tell. When it does, I will probably get a new socket.

... One problem down and a hundred to go. Wish me luck ;) !

When cleaning electrical connections I usually alternate back and forth between wd-40 and compressed air until the connection is fairly clean. Since I realize the connection is in an area of high moisture, I would fill the connection with dielectric grease to waterproof it and reconnect.

I usually put a thin coat of wheel bearing grease on light bulbs before installing to help prevent corrosion/rust. Obviously your lens/gasket is not sealing well so you may want to look at other alternatives, too.
