ok so i came upon $2000 that i can buy anything for my FD for....was wondering what you guys would spend it on......if you had my FD....it has a magnaflow catback, greddy boost controller, aluminum AST, non seq mod, HKS BOV, drilled and slotted rotors, and a koyo radiator....
i was thinkin about getting a front mount? but not to sure......id like to hear some input on it...and this is an extra 2000 i have laying around? let me know...thanks

* new pillow ball bushings
* Koni shocks (maybe some lowering springs if you want a lower stance as well)
* Reinforced swaybar mounts

MR_Rick 05-15-07 04:51 PM

or a PFC

FearNoPiston 05-15-07 05:06 PM

NissanConvert 05-15-07 05:09 PM

Strut tower bars, a pfc and a smic.

MADDSLOW 05-15-07 05:11 PM

pfc, downpipe, midpipe, intake

veilsidei 05-15-07 09:49 PM

Without a doubt:icon_tup:

ps. get the resonated midpipe from rx7store, pfc from ebay, and whatever intake you like. You will still have some money for tuning.

Is he going to get his wastegate ported too?

I would say that the following 3 options would be the best idea:

a) Give the money to me
b) Get an APEXi PowerFC and a Downpipe
c) Get some efini Turbos

vkotis 05-15-07 10:51 PM

PFC, midpipe, downpipe. if your engine had high mileage then i would first put it towards a rebuild.

FD3S2005 05-15-07 10:56 PM

PFC before they raise prices again...... tune.. and save for rebuild

jwilson 05-15-07 11:45 PM

ok well i just orderd the pfc........now still thinkin what to get....i was told the the j-spec downpipes are good enough? but i dont know, i have the j-spec engine in my FD......prolly get a midpipe and the front mount

rynberg 05-16-07 12:10 AM

Do not get a midpipe unless you are willing to pull the turbos and port the wastegate. Absolutely get a downpipe.

I would spend the money on making sure everything on the car is 100% before spending it on mods.....

pwwatkins 05-16-07 10:35 AM

save yourself a little money and get a quality used downpipe.

Yep. Sorry, forgot to mention that:pat:

If you don't port the w/g, you're more than likely to see creep/spike. I did, that's why the problem is being alleviated right now:icon_tup:

PFC and keep the rest for when something breaks.

adictd2b00st 05-22-07 07:29 PM

save it towards a rebuild? :( sorry i'm still feeling the ill effects of yesterday night
