What would happen if your coil wire pops out??

O.K... I was having some boost issue the other day and when i was checking my vacuum lines, I realized that trailing coil wiring harness was off.. So, how bad is this and would this have affects on my boosting issue??

I have PFC and wondering if there is some sort of safty measurement to cut the boost down..

I am in middle of putting pulley kit and will check all the hoses tonight.. Just wondering if anyone know of this..

Please post..

thanks!

I would think the trailing plugs don't fire. So you only ran off leading plugs. Major power loss.

Well, running without all plugs firing is going to make any car, boat, or whatever run like ass.

Actually if memory serves trailing plugs are mainly to light off the last bit of charge and keep the emisions down a little <much like the 2 plug per cylinder 4s out there>. It would only somewhat impact performance but the car would still be perfectly drivable. With the slight loss of power you may have had a harder time building boost, but it shouldn't have been too radical.

So, would you guys say its probably something else that cause my car to go from .85 Bar to .4 bar??

So after you put you coil wire back on you are still having boost issues? if you have put it back on then yes it's godda be something else...From the looks of your sig you still are on stock twins...are you sequential or non-seq? what are are the characteristics of your boost pattern? 10-8-drop off to 4 or so?

Last night I moved my air pump and blocked off the ACV.. and checked my vacuume lines.. They all looked good and do not see any problems..

I hooked the trailing harness back on and started the car.. it idled but didn't get a chance to drive around.. i hope my problem is gone..

the problem initially was that i could ONLY hit 0.4 bar.. I think thats around 6-7 psi.

My AVC-R is set at 0.85 and PFC is also set at 0.85 bar.

I'll post if it still does not hit boost..
