What turbo upgrad would you use?

I am planning on doing a turbo upgrade...

Was leaking towards the HKS kit but was also thinking about the JDM turbos

I would do BNR Stage 3 before I do JDM turbos.

GT35/40R

aspec 500r kit

thats what I would probably use. not very much turbo lag.....good for 400-450 hp. thats all i would want.

Really depends on how much power you are looking at making/what you plan on using the car for. Drag racing, on the street, autocross, circuit, a combination of them.

You're in cali.....do you need to keep an emissions system intact? How about visual inspection?

You won't get many informative responses to your thread, because you have us zero information to work with.

i would go with the hks t51r

vexedrex 01-15-07 10:35 AM

Yes I am in Cali and they are very stiff here on emissions but I have ways to get around it.

I am mainly going to use this car for street and hit the occasional auto-x session.

Target HP is around 400-500

If you autocross your car you will want something small. An RX-6 would be good for that. But those make right around 400hp on high boost. If you want a little more capable turbo go with a GT35R or an A-spec 500 R if you can afford it.

BTW I am leaning towards twin...

Any suggestions on where to get it from?
