what size is our radiator cap?
 

the reason i ask is because im looking for a polished AST and was looking at the greddy one. it seems that they offer one for a n-type and s-type cap.... but i dont know which the FD uses (if either one). also can anyone comment on the greddy AST? would i be better off with a different one? and if so do you have any recommendations? ive already ruled out the pettit one cause its ugly. corksport offers a decent looking ast but its insanely expensive. as always, thanks for your input. -heath :biggrin:

I have the tri-point one, it comes in black finsh but is made of very nice metal )polish's up very nicely) and uses the stock pressure cap.

do you mean pressure rating or do you mean the physical size of the f...n cap ? Original pressure was 1.1 bar. After factory recal (TSB) hoses were changed and the cap was lowered to.9 bar. If you mean actual size there are only two types, "domestic" and "import" if you have the stock AST then it's import size.

Stock AST uses import type (small one) some aftermarket AST's use either the domestic (large one) or the import one, it depends on which AST you have. The fill neck will only accept the import one.
