What size AN fittings and hose for oil cooler?
Hey there, I am replacing the oil cooler lines, what size AN fittings and hose do they use? I am going stainless, one hose is ripped, and might as well replace it into a one piece stainless!
Thanks, |
I'd like to know, too.

It is very hard to firgure out what mazda size fitting oil lines are, Also are u planning to use the stock oil coolers? Cause if so u will find it very difficult to find the right an sizing fitting to mated with the stock oil cooler. Also u can but the mazdatrix oil adapter to run your custom oil lines, I think it's like $10 each adpaters.

I don't know the stock sizes, but AN10 works well as a replacement.
You can get hose and AN fittings from many places. Mazdatrix has the best prices that I know of on metric-to-AN fittings so you can connect to the front housing and oil filter pedestal. They also sell pre-fabbed SS lines that you can just buy and install. I am not sure how to connect the SS lines to the stock coolers, but you could replace them with Mocal or other standard coolers. The stock driver's side (U.S.) cooler has a built-in thermostat. If you replace that cooler, it is wise to include a separate thermostat in the system. Mocal makes several, and you can get them from pegasusautoracing.com. Rotaryextreme.com sells a few different kits that have all (or at least most -- I don't know the details of these kits) the parts you need. -Max |
Does anyone know the size of the oil cooler thread and the connection at the oil filter pedestal thread, were the banjo fitting goes?.. I think it's 18mm, but by what 1.5?..

If you're interested I can build you a kit incluiding all the lines, fittings and some brackets for around $250 for steel braided or a litle less for the push on style fittings.
