What side seal springs do you recommend
 

I'm about ready to order the rest of the parts I need to reassemble my engine, but I'd like to know what everyone's opinion on side seal springs is.
I'm using OEM Mazda side seals, but I need springs for them. Atkins has 3 different types on their site, they have OEM and their own that can be ordered with or without cryo treating.

Non treated
86-92 Rx7 13B Side Seal Spring Set (N326-11-C17)

Cryo treated
86-92 Rx7 13B Cryogenically Treated Side Seal...

OEM
93-95 Rx7 13B Side Seal Spring Set (NF01-11-C17)

Input would be greatly appreciated.

OEM TT side seals only. Why downgrade?

OEM. Cryo is BS.

I'm using the OEM side seals, I was just curious about the springs. I don't want to cheap out on it, but I don't want to spend more money if it's an unnecessary cost.

I've used both the 93-95 and 86-92 and have noticed zero difference. The spring tension seems the same. The Inconel was used in a lot of the REW stuff to help hold up to heat but I am not sold on it. All the motors we build have over 120 psi compression. I will use whatever the customer requests. Its up to you if you think over 3X the price is justified for the springs. 86-95 side seals are all the same.

I think it has more to do with longevity then compression. The springs fatigue over time due to the heat. The inconel should resist that more. After 50k km of tons of hard track abuse @ 20 psi my old 13b was still springy and well popped out where the older high mileage motors the seals barely pop out.

OEM Never had ay issues

I agree that is the theory, I just never noticed a difference. We have a few motors that have been running 7-8 years and see hard track time. Either way, I will use whatever the customer prefers.
