What should I do (Pics of my car)
 

Oaky I got the rims put on yesturday I have 18x10 on rear with 275 and 18x8 on front with 235, First thing I noticed is that the car seemed slower going from the 17's I had and braking seemed poorer, So now I ponder if this was a good idea, also Good call on rolling the fenders Nick and Rich, I now have messed up the drivers side fender oh well nothing that can't be fixed, the people at the rim shop said I would have to do that also but I should be able to hold out if I wait a week or so of careful driving. Here are some ideas I had I was thinking about putting 30 or 35 size tires up front the
rear has 35 right now the front has 40 also I was think maybe about going to stock springs and the next would be keeping it the way it is and rolling the fenders, what involved and how much should I pay for someone to do that?
Also should my rear tire be sticking out like that on side

Like what? The pictures aren't there.

There's a good reason you're accelerating slower and braking a lot slower -- the wheels are a lot heavier now! To you it may not be that much, but when you consider the intertial and centrifugal difference that you've handed your axle and your brakes, you've really changed the dynamic of the car. This is one of the reasons I personally would never go larger than 17" on the FD. It's made to be nimble.

Ok how the heel do you post a pic, here is what I'm doing going to Post Reply and typing in the bosy of the letter, and the clicking on browse and selecting the correct picture that I want from my hard drive

What's the file size of the picture? It can't be larger than 102400 bytes.

All the pics are around 2.3MB

You'll either need to shrink them, or post them using a free webhost (which you probably won't be able to picture link).

You can shrink them by converting them to JPEG or GIF format. I'm assuming they are in BMP form now...

Are those ADR Sokudo's? I have a set just like those (metalic gray with polished lip), but I was told that they would only come in 18 x 7 1/2's? You say you have 18 x 10 and 18 x 8's? Please give me more info what or where you got those rims. Please, Please.....

Only one finger gap, yikes! I raised mine to 2 fingers.

Try posting in the suspension section with your offset sizes, spring or coil over setup and the experts there can help.

OMG you posted like a million post with the same thing!!

Yeah they are Volk GT-N's, So what should I do put stock springs on, roll the fender, or get coilovers and what are the prices for all those options also what would be the true correct way to fix that probelm.

but is there a web site that I can look at or # I could call for these volks? Like I said I have the same exact rim, but made by ADR. I love the way they look. Unfortunately I'm still on stock suspension. I have a negative gap in the front and a one finger in the back. Looks great, I just can't take corners that fast yet. I, like you, am looking for some coil overs that will stiffen the front up better. Please let me know. Thanks

dude, the Sokudos are imitation GTNs. Sorry, but adr makes some cheap wheels, that's why they only come in a 7.5. The real gtns retail for over 2k w/o tires. Did you put an 18x7.5 all the way around??

I know, I know, but they looked good. I didn't know any better. I've only had the wheels for 3 months. I'm planning on selling them. I just didn't give myself time enough to look around. IMO's or not, I really wanted the 18x10's in the back. Oh well, I guess we'll just have to spend that extra cash for some real ones. Thanks fellas...

Lots of problems here:

*what are the offsets you're running? for the 18x8, should be atleast 38mm, for the 18x10, 50mm

*Your tire sizes are completely wrong and are way too tall, this is why you are rubbing the fenders

*you should not run a 18x8 wheel, but a 18x9 which will allow you to run a 245/35 or 255/35 on the front, these are the correct sizes

*the rear should be 285/30 on a 18x10, 275/35 is WAY too tall

*you need to talk to SleepR1 in the suspension forum for advice

*also, unless you get very light wheels ($$$$), going to 18s DO make your car slower, can also confuse the ABS computer and will reduce the ability of the suspension to keep the maximum contact patch

I got 19x8.5 front with 245/35/19
19x9.5 rear with 275/30/19.

I had to roll all four of my fenders.
Rears werent' that much of a problem,
only rubbed when you really bottom out
like at a bottum of a hill. If I was you
Roll your Fenders in before your tires
catch your tires and cut them and roll
them out. I got some slashes on my Pirellis
and at 320+ for fronts and 350+ for rears
with out mount n balance, can induce paranoia.
just Jack your car up get a piece
of Ply wood and hammer.. and hammer in the
finder rolls.. Very simple and easy.. Do it before
your fenders roll out, so your paint won't crack
from all the back n forth.

IMO" most rims are for Cosmetics.. If you
are worried about performance and etc.
Put the best tires that can fit on your stock rims.

Oh BTW: don't roll your whole fender lip.

Your car seems slugish cause you added one about 100lbs. in your wheels.
