the small hose on the engine side of the tube about 2CM in diameder what is it for ...i got a greedy one and it has no connector for this tube

thankes

It goes to the AWS (Advanced Warmup System). Most people just cap it off when they install a Greddy elbow.

ok so ok to plug the hose .....thankes

If you ever plan on installing a Power FC, that system will be disabled anyway.

is it ok to cap off that tube at both ends with a stock ecu??????? It would make for an easyer tps tune up.

mine is super hard and brittle, I'm afraid to ask ray what i'd cost to replace.

Yes just cap it off on both ends. I believe that when you start your car now it won't rev high for the first 30sec or so (its been a while for me) it will just idle at a normal rpm.

That is the AWS (Accelerated Warm-up System). I believe this system was in place for emissions purposes only (it raises the idle on cold starts to quickly warm up the pre-cat, AFAIK). It can be safely disabled. Many, many cars have been running with the system disabled for years. It is probably better for the engine to have it disabled, at the minor cost of increased emissions on cold starts.

You can use rubber caps from the auto parts store (5/8" size, I think, but I could be wrong) with a hose clamp. The elbow in the picture shows where one end of the hose connects. The other end connects to a metal pipe on the firewall side of the upper intake manifold (UIM).
