What Exhaust System Is Best Hp/vs/noise
 

which exhaust system do you yhink is the best when it comes to horsepower gains.also which one do you think is the worst and best sounding?i am leaning toward the hks titanium carbon fiber hiper system right now.what do you think??

I just put on the HKS TI 4" racing exhaust and it rocks. :) I must say its very loud though. :)

HKS 4" Titanium is probably the best exhaust out there...straight through exhaust...definately not subtle, and definately not quiet. Woulda gotten it if i had the money, but i'm happy with the A'pex GT-spec. Loud and obnoxious, but its got the best bang for the buck


RX7 RAGE> Isn't the HKS Ti all one piece-- dp, mp, and back-cat? If so, what are you doing with your old dp + mp? Im probably gonna be in SD on Friday night, so if you plan on getting rid of them, drop me a line.

The TI 4" is a 1 piece catback and midpipe. So I still have my 3" downpipe. I'll let you know if my previous buyer backs out of the midpipe.

That'd be cool if people on here recorded the sound of their car, and posted it for download.

Apex N1 single is by far the best looking CB on market. IMHO 4" is ridiculously large and no need for it, just horrible drivability with minimal power gains over 3" (unless of course an open 3" has become to restictive on you engine, I doubt it)

If you are ditching the cat, you may want something with a little muffle to it. N1s are loud too, but not unbearable. I have mine staright through and wouldn't chaneg it for the world.

I have the GReddy SP and I think it sounds good... but I dont like that obnoxious loud rice sound that most exhaust systems make. This system is relatively quiet but sounds good when you get into the rpms.

I have the Racing Beat dual tip 3" ss
It flows good and is one of the few systems for a 3rd gen that meets Laguna Seca (and other) 90db sound limits
This is a plus for me as it makes the car liveable for my 85mi r/t commute every day

so the hks is loud etc..
 

so the hks system is pretty loud?do they make a silencer cap for it? and is the ti4 the same as the titanium carbon fiber hiper suatem that just came out.i dont think the new system came with a downpipe..

I picked up the trust evolution 2 exhaust. it has an awesome tone. it looks good too. it's hard to get though, but look around. it was in turbo magazine on the black wind rx-7.

yea, the 4" racing exhaust comes with a silencer. The titanium carbon fiber hiper exhaust that just came out is different. It's just a catback with a carbon fiber muffler.
