Ok I was running some test on my CPU2 and I notice this clip is just sitting there it looks like a ground to me. Do you guys know what it plugs to or where is it suppose to go to? Thanks

if its a solid black wire then i think its a ground.

Yup solid black with a clip on it. It looks like it should clip on to something?

okay get a test light and hook it up your battery positive side and then touch the tip of the test light to the metal piece inside the black connect and if the test light comes on the its defenetly a ground.. and in that case you can just ground it to anywhere on the body of the car.

I've got what looks like the same thing in the same location not connected to anything. I was wondering if it was the diagnostic grnd that folks use for the fan mod switch. I thought I would ground it and see if causes the fans to run when the engine is cool.

i have the exact same one also! and i was about to post and see what the hell it was.

Man! This is not CPU2, it's ECU

Black female connector is not supposed to be connected anywhere, it's for coolant fan diagnostics. Search for "fan mod" to learn how people use it.

Is it the green or the red? Thanks

It's black that got lot's of crap wired to it. Looks horrible. That white connector is what you need. Do you have aftermarket alarm? all those spliced in wires look bad.

Maybe not alarm, but keyless? I had to tap 3 wires overthere. Anyway, see where they going and make it clean.
