Wow... I'd hate to meet you in a dark alley. Looks great.

The exposed fuel pump in the back is pretty outrageous!

VegasFD 08-18-06 10:49 PM

Off topic, but... 603hp and the stock radiator? Do explain.

Yes, I've never had a problem with overheating.

I have always loved brilliant blue, great paint.

But those front wheels screw up the whole package. Wrong color and design.

Ledfoot 08-19-06 01:05 AM

....i thought you sold your car.

...when I was in high school I bought a GT500KR and painted it "House of Kolors" metal flake magenta...lol...chicks loved it....it's black on black now...

G's 3rd Gen 08-19-06 03:14 AM

Looks great.. Just dont care for the litle gap between front end and hood. What do you expect though from aftermarket body pieces. At least it lines up well. Not really an issue due to the overall quality of the entire job.

RE-Amemiya 08-19-06 08:32 AM

bump...so i can find this when i get home, and because i love that car

Dag nabbit, bandwidth problems. Hopefully, the pictures will be back up soon.

The best pictures (Motion/Artsy) weren't even posted yet.

If you don't mind answering, how much did the paint job set you back? I'm thinking of getting the FD repainted, BB again, and was just wondering what a ball park figure it would be for a nicely done job. I was thinking in the 2500 to 3K range for what should be an excellent job. To your eye, did the shop do great job?

Tim

ummm... WTF are they doing to it? For that price it better include some body work as well as stripping the entire car down to media blast it and paint EVERYTHING with some top of the line custom paint.

The bill ended up being like $11,000-$12,000. Insurance (Vandalism) paid for a small portion of that but I had to cover the rest. Paint and bodywork turned out looking awesome.

Tim Benton 08-19-06 02:08 PM

For the statement, there is no 2 or 3K paint jobs...right. Granted Eric got a great one, a 2 to 3k job is going to be measureably better than a Maaco $500 job. Less trash, better prep, door dings repaired, etc. Do I expect it to be the same as a 10K job, no, not really. The car's not worth that in my book. For the guy getting the 25K paint job on a car worth 25K, go for it if you got the cash although I don't think it's a good idea.

yeah, 2 to 3k is tops in my book for a paint job for my car.
Tim
