I just bought this car and found a leaking coupler/gasket.

Anyone know the name of this or a good place to order them from? Thanks in advance.

2 1/2 inch silicone coupler sold at most auto parts stores or on ebay for dirt cheap.

If you can afford it, you should invest that money on a efini y pipe. Though if you get a silicone coupler the oil might weaken it over time.

Is it 2.5"? I thought that's a 2.75".

i just went out and measured. it is 2.75"

Siliconeintakes.com or CXracing.com

Would be a good time to put some good t-bolt clamps on it as well.

It's the 'Y' pipe to crossover coupler. The OEM ones typically failed from all the heat. That's why MAZDA did the re-design to the efini 'Y' pipe to eliminate it. It's the way to go if you can afford it. If you can't, I've had good experience with these ---> Straight NX500 : HoseTechniques - T-Bolt Clamps NX500 Hose PY350 Hose Diesel Power Hose Silicone Vacuum & Heater Hose Oil Hose BLOW-OUT & CLEARANCE HoseTech Racing Industrial Hose Your Logo Custom Spec OEM Hoses hosetechniques, The best silicone hose

They'll tolerate alot of oil without issues.

I was close, I mean I didn't even need to make a thread about it and knew at least the close diameter of it, next step would have been a ruler.

I'm and work and can't check, but is this a 2.75" straight coupler? Not a 2.5 to 2.75 or something.

ZE Power MX6 01-14-13 10:37 AM

2.75" straight.

Sgtblue 01-14-13 11:16 AM

^Yep. And I'm thinking three (3) inches long should be fine. Don't go ebay or you'll have the same issue in short order. Quality is worth it here.

Ok great, thanks guys.

I was looking at mishimoto since I've heard good things about them and they have a lifetime warranty, but couldn't find a 2.75" straight from them.

I'm looking into Hose Techniques, they have them for about $10 +shipping

Pay the money and get the Y Pipe. It was the best thing I did to mine. Makes maintenance easier too because the pipe simply unbolts rather than messing about with sealing that pipe
