thanks, ill keep pics coming as the new engine comes together and back into the car...

afterburn27 04-04-05 10:44 PM

Looks like fun :)

Out of curiosity... how many miles were on the original engine?

MakoRacing 04-04-05 11:06 PM

Engine swaps are loads of fun, good luck! Is the new engine ported?

Cgotto6 04-04-05 11:14 PM

Oh boy. Have fun. Im just finishing my rebuild project. Make sure you take your time so you dont have to go and do what im doing...Taking half the motor apart to fix a fuel leak, that coincidentally started a fire on my first start up....

Just be careful!!!

z4csl428 04-04-05 11:16 PM

lol 7500 on a reman...dont tell me that doesnt suck. the FPR vaccum hose was off and with me (no way of knowing it) hit 10 psi about twice and pop goes the weasel...

Herblenny 04-04-05 11:44 PM

You got 7500 miles and blew the reman?? damn that sucks.. Good luck on your swap. I need to do that also.. My car's been down for 8 months now. I don't want to hit 1 year.

z4csl428 04-04-05 11:46 PM

actually i just bought the car and have put 50 miles on it. no telling how that hose got pulled off...and dont hit one year...your car will never forgive you for it....

Crazy double posts..

I know, I'm trying to avoid 1 year down period. I'm just lazy lately, I'm acturally shooting for May. Need to get my ass in gear.

Z4, cgotto,
Where'd you get your engines? It's been a toss up for me whether I should rebuild or buy.

RotaryResurrection 04-05-05 02:00 AM

Me, me, they got them all from me! All your rotaries are belong to me!

1revn3rdgen 04-05-05 02:19 AM
