Weird vibration, temps rise, stop...

So, this is an extension of the sitting on side of road thread...

Background in case you didn't read previous thread.

Coolant hose breaks, spits coolant all over windshield. Stop, repair, refill with water.

So i start driving and its vibrating almost like the alignment is out. Very strange. My mirrors are shaking where i cant see anything in them and its just a very bad vibration. I check my temps and it slowly starts climbing. Shut the engine down. Pull over. Open coolant fill and coolant sprays out. Fill it back up. Start up the car and start driving. Vibration is gone, temp stays fine.

At first i thought maybe my water pump (about 2k miles on it) went since it ran low on coolant but i didn't hear any whining or anything so im not really sure especially since it worked all the way home. any ideas?

So let me get this straight. After you pulled over the second time because your temps were rising (most likely air in your system) the car is driving fine? Just keep an eye on the coolant level. You must burp the rest of the air out of the coolant system. Now once you get all of the air out if it happens again you might have a failing coolant seal in the engine causing you to over pressurize the system (its back feeding into your coolant) but I highly doubt it.

Yea i made it home, got all the air out. i think im good to go. As for the vibration i still have no idea. It hasnt done it before or since. im lost as to that.

Im pretty sure i do have a slowly dieing coolant seal. No air bubbles in my coolant, but the level goes down over a period of a few days and i dont see anything dripping so it has to be going somewhere.

All that might mean is that there is still air in the system. I wouldn't worry about it unless you have white smoke coming out your exhaust.

a little white smoke on startup, normal. The other day a friend video taped me getting on it down the road and when i let off the gas a small cloud of white smoke came out.

As for my coolant level. Its a constant battle. Every couple days i have to put a couple cups of water in it. if it was air, eventually it would be full. Its gotta go somewhere. Unless it only leaks from somewhere when im getting on it down the road, because at idle and even revved up nothing drips.

Ya at idle you will get a little smoke at start up due to condensation build up in your exhaust. But if you are seeing white smoke at acceleration after the car is warmed up start saving money for a rebuild.
