Weird Thermoswitch

so i got the FC thermoswitch from Ray and it's just like the one that i read on another thread. but the thing is, MY thermoswitch doesn't look anything like that, the one i have currently in my car is like some small plastic thingy. i'll post a pic tomorrow of what it really looks like but i read that the FC one is supposed to be a direct drop in replacment. the FC one is a lot bigger and the threads aren't even close on the WP housing. if worse comes to worse i could drill and tap it but this is just weird.

does anyone have any insight as to what thermoswitch i do have?

BTW, i have a JDM engine, which it really shouldn't matter but unless in the strange instance it would

Are you sure you're looking at the thermoswitch? You have to remove the alternator, at minimum, to get to it. It's under the green ECU water temp connector.

The one that's easy to see on the thermostat housing is the water level sensor.

There is also the ECU coolant temp sensor above the thermoswitch back there.
