Weird noise when getting on the gas

Some of you may know that I was involved in a crash and it damaged the pass side of the car. It damaged my intercooler that was Vmounted and also both intake filters.

I just got the car back from the body shop and installed a stock IC just to drive the car home. I took off all of the intake piping to the turbos. I also removed the y-pipe to inspect and make sure nothing was in there. I didnt find anything. All of the vacuum hoses are plugged in.

I am pulling my hairs with this one because the car runs and drives with minimal power. It will not build boost and the more you gas it the louder the noise gets.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated

Here is a video i took of it before It went to the shop.

You have no intake pipes to your throttle body. Of course your not building boost. The turbo charger is expelling air to the atmosphere. That noise you hear is a boost leak -.-

No no no bro. Had a hole in the intercooler. Now i have the stock TB elbow and factory intercooler installed. I am working on making a boost leak tester.

So then I believe you need to post a current video of said noise. Because the noise that you were hearing in the posted video is 100% your turbocharger spooling and venting to atmosphere. If you're not building boost, its most likely a massive boost leak.

I am sorry I was making a mold of some side skirts and could not post a video right away.

Here is a video i just took.

My next step is capping off the BOV and see what that does. I sprayed carb cleaner around the engine to see if there was a vac leak and it would suck it into the motor, but the idle never raised.

Are you still unable to build boost with all the intake plumbing installed? Have you checked your turbo's for play in the shafts? You said you're car had passenger side damage right? Maybe your turbos were damaged in the process. Try isolating where the noise is coming from.

Yeah dude i tried to isolate it and it comes from all over lol the sound bounces all over the bay. Yeah boost still unachievable with everything installed.

I just have to wait cap both turbo intake inlets and plug in my my pipe with a valve stem somewhere in the charge system and see where it really comes from without the car running. The only thing I have to check is the rear turbo compressor housing.

What was really weird was that the rear intake pipe that bolts to the rear turbo was loose. I never checked to see if maybe enough pressure was put on that intake to push it back and it cracked the rear compressor housing.

I was going to store the car at a storage unit i rented until we close on our new home on Feb 15, but I am afraid to drive it across town like this.

I believe i have found the issue.

I am possibly swapping the twins out tomorrow morning.

That wheel looks pretty jacked up, I hope those pieces went out the exhaust and not the into the motor.

Probably a good idea to do a compression test

Yeah I will do a compression test this weekend. The Vacuum stayed the same no change. The motor sounds normal at idle and when you rev it slowly it sounds good.

I dissected the IC and it looked good. I think the pieces are still in the compressor wheel since there is not wheels to compress the air to push the excess metal out.

I am picking up a good set of twins and doing the rats nest removal and going non- seq.

I will keep you guys updated.

Ohh crap I have the same sound :/ the sound comes from the rear but that turbo looks good and have no play but the front turbo got some play but the blades look fine. Could it really make it this bad? No boost at all seems pretty harsh for just a bit of play :/ I can't find any other issues
