Weird Dash Problem
Ok you know guys when you turn the knobs on the heater dash board you can actually hear the motor switching the vents depending on the setting, well this happens when I'm not touching the dash knobs... It does it randomly on its own when I drive or stop. So when I'm driving with the heat on all of a sudden cold air starts to come out. I know its not the heatercore problem since its the vents that move on their own as if I'm messing with the knobs. Is my 7 fukin with me?

I've heard of the contacts inside the switch itself getting flaky and needing a cleaning. Give yourself a full afternoon to do the job - you need to remove the whole radio/AC panel, which means removing the instrument cluster surround - it's not hard, but it's a lot of stuff to take apart.

Pull the plastic knobs off and make sure that the retaining nut is tightened down and that the switch is orientated properly. There is a notch that has to line up. I had a car acting wierd once with the switches and that is what it was. The car was rattleing the switch around. Since the nut was not tight, the knob stayed where it was and the switch rotated around that. Kinda confusing explanation but hopefully you get what i am saying.;)
