Wasup,
I am now an ex-E36 M3 owner and a new Silver 1994 Mazda RX-7 touring model w/red leather and black interior owner. So far the only mod that it has on it is a PFS catback exhaust and Pettit AST. What should be my next mod, after a boost and water temp gauge? Should I do the mods in the order listed? (1) Fluidyne radiator (2) Apexi Power FC (3) downpipe (4) highflow cat (5) M2 medium intercooler (6) Apexi intake (7) Injectors and fuel pump (8) Suspension (9) Apexi single turbo BTW, the car has about 17,500 miles and was well maintained before I bought it. If this car is kept well maintained should I run into any problems (engine overhaul, etc)? Thanx in advance. |
you definitely don't want to do them in that order. suspension and radiator can be done at any time. if it's hot where you live, do the rad. you've got a touring, so the suspension is softer than an R1/R2. upgrade it if you want better handling. here's what i'd do:
3, 6, 4, 5, 2, 7, 9, (8), (1) downpipe, intake, cat, intercooler, at this point you need to address your ECU, so power fc. if you get your power fc right up front you'll have to tune it for every mod down the road. i kind of like this idea, but you might not want to go through the hassle. hold off on the injectors and single turbo for a while and don't neglect all the other reliability mods (do a search on here). 17.5 is killer. you shouldn't have to worry about engine problems for some time to come. |

I have an idea, just get it all at the same time and put it all on at the same time. Simple, or just wait until you have everything and then put it on. Dont forget the silicone vacuum hoses.
