wastegate or vacuum hose issue?

I've been having a boost issue for a few weeks now. I still get full psi for both turbos but it feels like somethings sticking before boost kicks in. I'll go WOT, the gauge will stop at 0, there's a mooing sort of noise and then it jumps straight to 10 psi. I have no clue what this could be and nobody i've asked so far does either. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had an issue like this that would come and go at random or when I really was getting on the car sometimes.. would press the gas and the boost would just be at 0 and rpms still were going up but just didnt have the power untill boost kicked back in...

did you ever find out what was the cause? It's constant in all gears for me.

I had a problem like this with my FD. The coupler on my y-pipe had taken a dump and coated the side of the motor with oil and baked rubber coupler. After I fixed the leak with a new coupler I'd have sporadic loss of boost after a shift. I cleaned everything up on the side of the motor. I noticed the actuators on the turbos stuck sometimes. I cleaned them up, blasted a bunch of wd-40 on them then cleaned them down again and added some lithium grease. Problem was gone. As far as I can figure the waste gate actuator was getting stuck open making it take longer for boost to build.

I'll wipe down the actuators tonight and drench them in wd40. Appreciate the tip.

Please post results when you can! I believe I need to do the same

It must've been the actuators, I cleaned them and sprayed some wd40 and all is right with the world again. Thanks for the idea fdhoward.
