warning lights come and go - electrical?

My alternator was bad and the battery is pretty old so I put in a new alternator and westco miata battery. everything was fine for 2 months but yesterday when i started the car, both my warning lights came on, the ABS light went on, the Charge light went on...basically the same sympton when my alternator was on its last leg. After a few minutes, all the warning lights went away and my voltage was back to normal (reading 13.95 or so)

I took it in for testing and the alternator is good, battery fully charged so what could be my problem?

Check your ground, connectiions and engine fuses.

I'm having similar problems but it only happens after I get home from work and have the clutch engaged while backing into my garage... I have noticed that the two warning lights come on when A) the lights are on, and B) the rpm drops below 1k...

I have no idea how old the battery is since it was in the car when I bought it a year ago (will have to check my records to see if I have documentation of when that was changed).. I'm thinking that could be the problem...

Where, exactly, is the main ground located for me to check? If it's simply a matter of hitting that with a steel brush than I would rather do that than drop the $180 on a new Optima..

Any suggestion?

Thanks,

Levi
