Warm start problems - ?

The car starts up fine when cold. No smoke and it starts right up!
But after its warmed up, sometimes (alot of times) it has a hard time starting.
Need to keep the gas down a bit before it will catch.

What could be the problem?
Clogged cats? Injectors? Dieing motor? The motor is getting flooded a little somehow?

Thanks in advance for the help! :)

oh, the motor is original with nearly 100k on it.
Its been running fine, but I'm going to go in and get a compression check on it sometime soon.

100k!

It's probably just tired.

kinda sounds like my engine, though a little more extreme. do you have a boost guage? what kind of vacuum are you pulling? any other idle problems?

Sounds like low compression. I think your on the right track...get it checked. The engine has done good to make it to 100k.

Yeah, I'm going to have it checked soon. Its actually not my car but one that I am looking to pick up. I just wanted to know what oculd be causing the problem before I invest in it. (Yes, I know it will need a new motor but wanted to know how much life it had left, etc).
We'll see though, right now I think the asking price is a little higher than it is worth. I guess I'll try and negotiate with the owner as soon as the results are back.
