Warm Start Problem - Should I bypass the FPR Solenoid?

I just spent a good hour searching...and although I found alotta info, it all seems to be kinda confusing. I read that some people say you should replace the FPR Solenoid if you're having problems starting after warming...and then some say I should just bypass it.

Which should I try? The car runs fine, plenty of power, good vacuum...it's ported, so it's a little lumpy, the only real issue is the warm start problem.

If I do bypass it, I should just take the two lines leading to it, and connect them together using a connector?

I'm taking it in to do a compression check on Wednesday. I really don't think it's a bad motor though, because it's done it since I had the engine rebuilt. The engine only has 5k miles on it, and that's all been pretty much relatively light fair.

Is this a good idea?

I recently did the simplified sequential solenoid setup and left the FPR Solenoid in so the car would start when warm, with out it many had problems

Hmmm...I still have the stock sequential setup. Could there be a difference between simplified and stock...one that would cause problems along when removing the FPR Solenoid.

I guess removing it for a bit, and testing it out for one day couldn't hurt could it?

I have the same problem. I have my motor ported, still stock sequential, and I have a power FC. I'm interested in a fix.

your fpr solenoid my be bad but bypassing it if the hot start prob is fuel press related will def not help. try ohming the fuel thermosensor also

how do you ohm the fuel thermosensor? what does this accomplish?

If you by pass it , it will turn on easily when cold but hard when hot.
