vacuum hose question

what are these one way valves.. on some of the vacuum lines? there green/white and come in two sizes one smaller than the other? or one shorter is more like it with arrows. i need to know the name so i can call and order some or can you get them at any auto parts store? also what is the small black above spark plugs below oil fill right in front of the coils? is it soppuse to have small tiny carcoal pepples falling from it?

Your right they are one way valves or more commonly called check valves, (search "check valves") They are an essential part of the turbo control system. You can get the OEM replacements from a Mazda dealer or search the forum for "Dale Clark" he sells a good aftermarket replacement.

Are you talking about the sensor directly above the trailing plug on the front rotor housing with one wire come out of it? That is the knock sensor, and it is common for it to leak some black oose, but it doesn't mean that it has failed.

no sensor sorry a black round canister? is this the carcoal canister?one line going in and one coming out. ok one way check valves... thanks iall do a search

Ahh. The round tank bolted to the bottom of the throttle body? that's the catch can for the evaporative recovery system and as far as i know it's empty. It is attach to the charcol canister but, that's back by the fuel tank.
