Looks really good man. Very nice!

cabaynes 11-20-03 01:47 AM

who's v-mount is this? looks good, a little different than the original RotaryExtreme kit, which i have helped instal, but good none the less... looks well put together. i'd like some not-so-close up shots of the radiator intercooler to show the actual postions better... your pics are a little too zoomed to get a good idea.

Cossie 11-20-03 01:48 AM

Japanese HKS V mount

RX7SpiritR 11-20-03 01:51 AM

Yeah, I agree with stoked. Could you please get some pics from further away so I could actually see the setup better, cause you really cant see the full bueaty of the V-Mount setup.

Cossie 11-20-03 01:56 AM

tight garage space..will do so later...

RX7SpiritR 11-20-03 01:58 AM

cool thanks man, but other then that it really does look great, makes me think about doing a V-Mount setup. And BTW, how do you like the Koyo radiator? I'm looking at buying this one, what do you think so far?

mazdaspeed00 11-20-03 03:16 AM

yummy

diyman25 11-20-03 05:01 AM

That is very COOL. any thing u need to watch for? any special fab need??. going to order mine pretty soon want to know...
thanks

pshaw118 11-20-03 06:06 AM

that thing looks massive. very nice.

johnchabin 11-20-03 07:50 AM

Do you add a bung to drain the radiator (looks like it's upside down)? Or how is that done?

RX7SpiritR 11-20-03 03:33 PM

good question.

teamstealth 11-20-03 04:15 PM

is it just me or does it look like the HKS IC sits at a much sharper angle than other v-mount setups out there?? Wonder what the reasoning is for that...either way youve got one helluva setup! :bigthumb:

neofreak 11-20-03 04:18 PM

pretty

worfvi 11-20-03 04:32 PM

nice setup! now, how difficult was it to install such a v-mount?

T88NosRx7 11-20-03 04:37 PM

looks nice, great job

jdhuegel1 11-20-03 04:39 PM

VERY nice!!!

like i said, it looks like the IC is installed in too sharp of an angle

Cossie 11-20-03 09:16 PM

I guess HKS Japan got it wrong too?

for some reason i cant see that raditor doing much on such a angle like that. all the air just hits the bottom, i mean there is that sheet metal creating some wind to it but i still cant see it cooling very well.

fd3s93 11-20-03 10:01 PM

http://www.knightsports.co.jp/catalo...v-mout-003.jpg

The exit of the cooling wind was guaranteed by mounting the intercooler and the radiator in V type, preponderant heat dissipation was actualized. Just it is the necessity with the circuit.

With combined use with the aero bonnet, furthermore the cooling effect which is superior is shown, 90 degrees and intake air temperature 70 degrees or less in water temperature are actualized even with the circuit of the midsummer.

Because of that, continual travelling becomes possible without giving the damage to the engine.
- i copyed that off knight sports site (translated) might help a few whos not similiar with v-mount.

teamstealth 11-20-03 10:22 PM

i guess HKS just decided to maximize IC surface area over the radiator...not so sure how well that will fare with how tempremental rotaries are to heat...lets hope that little metal duct works!
