USonic Injector Cleaning

A dealer I used to use once offered an in car ultrasonic injector cleaning.

Does anyone know anything about this? Will it clean the injectors as well as removing and cleaning them?

If there is such a thing, does anyone one know of a shop in SC that offers the service?

That's pretty much what all injector cleanering companies do (like RC Engineering):

They still have to be removed from the car.

So, if I have access to an ultrasonic sink, would it be considerably stupid to do the cleaning myself?

I don't see how they could do ultrasonic cleaning in-car. Taking them out and sending them to someone like RC Engineering, sure. But in car? Nah.

My guess is that they were going to run some solvent through the injectors and fed you a line of B.S.

I had a problem with one of my other cars so I sent my injectors off to get serviced by a company that does the ultrasonic cleaning. They basically flow test them when the get them, clean them ultrasonically and then reflow test them. Some of the better companies even replace some internal parts. The company that serviced mine did. The nice part is that they gave you a print out of performance so you can see if they are putting out the factory rated fuel flow.
