US 5th gear part number?

Hi guys,

Trying to find the part number for the US/UK/AUS .719 5th to swap it into my JDM transmission. Anyone have the number to hand?

I'm pretty sure the 5th counter gear is R524-17-308, although if anyone can confirm that also, that'd be awesome.

Thanks .

I looked into it a LOOONG time ago. It was easier to find someone with a junk US transmission that was willing to pull the 5th gear and counter gear out of it.

The gear itself very rarely wears/breaks down so used it was fine. The synchro is worth replacing however.

Dale

Cheers Dale,

It's all JDM cars over here, so the .719's don't come up for sale often! I've had another look at the parts diagrams and I'm pretty sure the US 5th is r523-17-610. I missed it last time, it's labeled as "Gear - Over top" Rather than 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc like all the rest . Does 25 teeth sound right?

Had a check, I can get a new one from Japan for $130 before tax and shipping, so will likely go that route providing it's the right part .

R524-17-610 is the gear on the main shaft, it says 25 teeth.
R524-17-308 is the counter shaft gear.
