Updated Himni Poly Motor Mounts

I've done some searching but didn't see any reviews on the updated version of the Himni 2S Polyurethane Motor Mounts.

Here's a link to the mounts I'm talking about:
http://www.himni-racing.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=229_187_190 &products_id=1587&zenid=9ut4lf9boim24416cg5j7br 210

According to their site:

***Effective as of 4/10/2010, HR polyurethane motor mounts are updated to absorb all vibrations** They hold a large amount of HP with no vibrations transmitted to the driver. This is only part of what separates the HR Poly Motor Mounts all others. Over many years, Himni Racing has tested countless configurations, materials & designs to archive the right motor mount balance of Holding The Engine In Place with little to no vibrations transmitted to the chases/driver. This makes the HR Poly Mounts KING. There is no longer any reason to vibrate you & your car in order to hold your engine steady.
I read a couple reviews were people complained Himni mounts caused a lot of vibrations and were pretty tough to deal with in a street driven FD, but I don't know if they're talking about this version of the mounts or the old version. I will use my FD primarily for street driving so I don't want anything that causes a lot of vibrations or that is noisy. My mounts are shot so I need a new pair. The Himni ones are an option, does anyone have any experience with these?

The other ones I'm looking at are the Xcessive 65A 'Yellow' mounts. I'm open to any other suggestions, looking for a good ride but with increased engine response.

Check out my mounts. I offer several versions depending on your needs and can make custom ones as well. Mine have automotive-grqade hardware, a steel cap on each side of the polyurethane puck so the arms do not distort them, and an additional bushing that sits under the subframe to further reduce vibration. We run them on out 500 rwhp shop car. There are currently on sale in the third gen classifieds section.

I bought my Himni mounts around that time frame as it appears they made the switch. My mount bushings are red, not black as pictured, so assuming I have the old ones? Either way I simply love them and the NVH is not present coming from a busted driver mount also. GL on the hunt

I bought a set earlier this year and have the same observations. Nobody that has been in my car knows they're there unless I tell them.

If you want NO vibrations spend the money on a factory mount, period. $240 from Ray at Malloy. Well worth the money if your worried about vibrations.

I have tried the Himni's and hated them. Switched to the Xcessive 65A mounts and they are MUCH better. I have a thread here reviewing them. My only complaint with the Xcessive mounts was a slight resonance when pulling away from a stop at around 1500 rpm. Other than that they drive like stock just much less drivetrain movement.

I don't know if I'd go back to OEM especially for that money. I got mine from IRP and have been happy as hell with them.

I use the Himini mounts and i have no issues with them..

From what I have gathered their are 3 reputable sellers that offer Poly motor mounts..

Banzai at $125
IRP at $159
Himni at $89

I honestly don't know why the price difference between all 3 but I figure one poly mount is as good as another.

My son's FD has Banzai mounts and we have had NO issues with them. (come with large washers top & bottom)
My buddy has Himni and he has had NO issues with those mounts. ( no washers )

I personally plan to get the Himni due to their price point as well as their proximity to me since they have to be shipped.

I have a set of Himni that I would sell for $60 shipped if anyone is interested. Exactly 5 mins of run time.

As a point of reference, I bought the RB Dual Tip because it was the quietest exhaust for an FD. I put foam tape between the back panels to reduce squeaks and creaks. I don't like overly noisy things. That may explain why lots of people have "no" problems with the puck type mounts and I did. To each his own.

Don't forget the Xcessive mounts for $189: http://www.xcessivemanufacturing.com...pid=261&step=4

Unfortunately for me, the Banzai price point is too high for the aluminum bracket @ $250. I think the Xcessive ones for $189 is my absolute maximum.

IRPs do look nice, thats an option.

Himni price point is great, but do you get what you pay for? Vibration, noise or longevity? They don't have any washers on the tops or bottoms of the poly. I can only imagine that after some time they will settle and distort unevenly, causing them to wear faster.

And OEM is completely out of the question at that price point.

I'm not as serious about silence as <track>7 but I don't want a lot of noise.

I guess this goes along with this thread, where is the best place to currently get a drivers side (or passenger since they're interchangeable post 93') steel bracket?

Chipsmotosports also has some on the 3rd gen section>group buy and product development.
Theres also a video of banzai doing a dyno with their mounts in a 3rotor
I went with IRP but have yet to receive them.
