unknown plug

Can anyone tell me what this is supposed to be plugged into? I am re-installing my dash and I seem to have an extra plug in my dash near the gauges. All of my plugs that go into the remaining gauge hood are accounted for and all of the plugs in the AC unit are in. I don't know if maybe this is for the Bose system.

Thanks

Looks like cruse control - if your FD was not equipped this may be unused. Single row of connectors.

look for the r/g wire on one end and a r/b on the other - if so, then cruise control connector

i have the cruise hooked up so it is not that :( It is a different shape if you look closely it is more of an L shaped connector.

I drew up a quick picture of the plug along with labeling the wires. I could really use some help on this. The red lines point to the connector where that color wire goes.

thanks

What are the wire colors and do you have a green manual ?

ShogunOfHarlem 05-24-06 08:32 AM

The wire colors are indicated on the picture.

LY - Blue with Yellow stripe
WL - White with Blue Stripe
YL - Yellow with Blue stripe
YG - Yellow with Green stripe

Any help would be appreciated as I do not see any place where this plugs in.

Thanks,
-Bill

After pouring over the PDF of the wiring diagram I finally figured out that it is a plug for the bose system. It is J2-01 on page Z-88. This is what happens when you remove the bose system and forget that you have a spare connecter from the head unit.

Thanks for the help :)
