Unable to identify squashing noise rear left over bumps
1 Attachment(s)
I can't describe the noise accurately, a kind of rubbing/squashing/crunching/ominous noise - I've attached a video where you can hear it. This happened spontaneously about two months ago without a cause.
Basically whenever I go over a bump I get this noise from the rear cabin - I don't know if it's the suspension or bodywork or something else? Any help which direction to go in would be appreciated: If I push down on the car when it's stationary I can't seem to replicate the noise, even with a lot of us pushing the car up and down. Changed all suspension to Tein Flex Z about a year ago, and changed all bushings at the same time. Thanks, |
Get the car in the are and start moving the wheels from the 3 and 9 o'clock and 12 and 6 o'clock positions. Jack or pry under the suspension pivot points. You are looking for slop/excessive movement.

Yep, you'll have to look around. Common culprit is worn out pillow ball bushings in the back. Could also be the new bushings are noisy.
