Typical rebuild cost, parts, and labor needed?

OK. I been looking inot doing a V8 into 3rd gen swap but the more I read about the rotary the more I like it. But I know the rotary likes to well......blow up from time to time. What is the typical rebuild cost. What needs to be replaced, what machine work will need to be done and how hard is it to do the work yourself compared to a piston engine?

the seals are very expensive but it's notr really thet hard to do yourself. seals cost around 800 and if you do blow an apex seal you probly need a new housing and or rotor but i don't know how but those are didn't need em'.
