now i know this is true to an extent lol.. but by upgrading the radiator and oil coolers on a FD will that allow the twins to be more reliable? as for cracking and when running higher than stock pressures? say if i was running 14-15psi on them.. would it be of extra benifit to drop the oil temp 10-15 degrees? or do the stock oil coolers do plenty good enough for the twins?

just brain storming a lil bit to maximize my twins?..

its the thrust bearings in the stock twins that limit them.

yes lower temps will help a small amount, but you will GREATLY decrease the life of the stock twins at 14-15 psi. No way around it.

i figured as much but i was thinking the oil just got too hot and maybe made the bearing fail quicker that way and so fouth and it could help out.. just a idea i had thats all.. thanks for your help man and for ruining my dreams haha jk!!

u are really reaching now. do what others suggested in the other thread an enjoy a long time of 15psi.

the stock twins really weren't meant to handle high power outputs, 12 or 13 psi is really their "reliable" power range, beyond that they wont last long, if your looking for power out of a "stock" style system go with BNR Stage 3's they're expensive but they can handle a ton more power over the stockers.

None of those things will help. They will reduce engine temps, but the turbos don't care about that.

Better intercooling and exhaust flow will be of most benefit when running elevated boost.
