Twin Turbo Oil Return Lines
 

So last night...well an hour or so ago...I was readying my engine to go back in the car and I got to putting the twin turbo oil return pipes on. This is a different set of turbos than my old, leaky, gone to hell set.

The oil return pipes are both "off" slightly. Where I may have made the mistake is I bolted on the turbos before mating up the pipes to the turbos and the block. I'm assuming now I should have bolted these to the turbos and then guided them to the block? Or is something worse the issue?

The turbo cartridges may have rotated a bit.

Typically I have the lines attached to the turbos then bolt the assembly on. The only way they can be off is if the center section of the turbos has been rotated with relation to the turbine housing. The turbine housing is fixed, that's a solid lump that bolts on with no slop or movement. The center section can rotate 360 deg. and if it's clocked even a few degrees off fitment can be off.
