Turbos to Manifold studs
Hello, I keep looking through the FSM and the parts manual and their very vague. I need to order one of the smaller studs, is there only one of the small ones? Are the rest of the studs the same size? I need 2 of the regular ones.
Im looking for part numbers too for the small and big ones, going to be ordering from Atkins. Thanks. |
The smaller stud is N391-13-456 and there is only one. MSRP from Mazda is $17.14. The larger studs are NF01-13-708A and there are a total of 5. They are $18.25 each. Hopefully Atkins has a good deal on them. The parts can be found on page 1-C4 in the parts catalog.

And theres like a big bolt in the middle right?
Also would any of the turbo to downpipe studs work? Their just a tad bit shorter. |
There are two bolts in the middle. N390-13-453A. I believe the downpipe studs will work. Not 100% on that though.

I've gotten a few PMs from people due to my build thread asking for stud sizes and where I got them. Just wanted to update the thread with a follow up that includes everything in one post.
Here is everything you'll need to re-stud the stock turbo stuff: https://www.rx7club.com/attachments/...aust-brick-jpg For the brick. See the photo in the 1st post for letter codes:
For the 4 studs that bolt the brick to the engine block:
For the downpipe: You can use 4 of the M10x1.5 that are 37mm long (same as A,D,E,F,H on the brick). Part number 98867A350 You'll also want washers. I used these (sold by the bag):
For the copper lock nuts I used:
My brick all re-studed (I actually had to use one different stud because my brick had been heli-coiled, but you get the idea...): http://gallery.tfrascone.net/var/alb...3/IMG_6330.jpg |
Atp turbo in Hayward has everything you need. Pretty cheap too.
