Turbo Timers???

What is the best one out there right now with the best most useful features? I hear there are timers that keep track of operation time, boost, variable set times.

HKS, GReddy, etc.

Thanks

TURBO TIMERS

I personally do not want to spend money on a turbo timer. My new method is counting steamboats ...1 steamboat...2 steamboat...3 steamboat:D

Blitz takes boost reading, greddy takes RPM reading, Apex takes O2 sensor reading. I like the apexi...looks good and it is small, and the a/f ratio reading.

The HKS Type I is a good. It will monitor speed, speed peak hold, RPM, RPM peak, RPM warning, battery voltage, and a few others. It is very easy to install as well

I agree..Spend your money on something more important than a turbo timer. Unless you beat on your car everytime you drive it; normal spool down time is about 30 seconds to a minute....Not 5 or ten minutes like once thought...Max cool down for any driving should be 5 minutes and when you have to let her cool down that much you should have the hood open also which means you got to hang around to shut it anyway!!!G....

i have a greddy turbo timer in my car right now it works really well you can read about it at rx7.com they also sell the turbo timer harness and that made it really easy to install. it took me about 15 minutes to do it

I have a greddy turbo timer installed without the harness. My friend installed it for me. But, I noticed that my fans does not stay on after my engine shuts down. I have to put my turbo timer into countdown mode before the fans will turn on. This is getting to be a pain, can anyone help me fix this problem?

Turbo timers are not required for water cooled turbos. Drive the car off boost for the last mile or two. Shut it off, no problem.

Corky Bell of Maximum Boost also mentions this in his book.

Don't waste your $$.

turbo timers are a waste of money like jeff said. The only reason to get one is for the extra gimmicky functions which arent that accurate.

I don't know, it makes sense about the water cooled fact. However, our turbo's probably blow faster than any other twin turbo car's turbo's if driven normally...so maybe turbo timing 3-4 min isn't a bad thing? it can't hurt...especially if you use the ac fan trick

The HKS Type-I is a good one...but try to get the black one cause I think that one uses mph instead of kph...unless you want to read the speedo in kph. The harness makes it a snap to install.
